lyrics
The individual is increasingly deprived of the moral decision
as to how he should live his own life
and instead is ruled, fed, clothed and educated as a social unit,
accommodated in the appropriate housing unit
and amused in accordance with the standards
that give pleasure and satisfaction to the masses.*
Standing speechless before the wheel
civil remnants of discipline
The hypocrites burst into tears
True liars stumble and fall
Everyone cries and regrets
never repent never forget
The growing urge for power gain
brings them down
begging for a quick end
The rulers, in their turn, are just as much social units as the ruled
and are distinguished only by the fact that
they are specialized mouthpieces of the State doctrine.
They do not need to be personalities capable of judgment,
but thoroughgoing specialists who are unusable outside their line of business.*
Learning the method:
From hopeless desire to eternal denial
Miracle weapon
In absolution visions die
The crushing wheel
power-fed machine
Modern man
evil cum breed
Flames burning high
to purify through pain
Masses stupefied
by the gloom of decay
The sound of regression
The sum of thousand cries
Tools of repression
The blood of innocents shines
A torture device - the human mind

After listening to Ysyry Mollvün, listening to Downfall of Nur was urgent and turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time: Umbras de Barbagia is simply magisterial; the atmosphere can hardly be compared to anything else. There is a deep, palpable connection to nature imbueing each very fibre of this record. The amalgamation of black metal and folk elements is done with a high intuition for detail and class, resulting in a highly immersive experience. Wonderful. David Fischer
Aussie trio Burger Chef dish out a hearty helping of noise rock with a side of d-beat: messy, raw, and oh-so satisfying. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 20, 2022
This Australian group wraps D-beat in layers of psychedelic fuzz & squall for a howl from the depths of modern dystopia. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2018
On their ferocious self-titled debut, the Australian punks pit d-beat percussion against gnarled, metallic melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 3, 2024

Crust with strings is a heartfelt and honest pairing. And the opening track Awoken is such a beautiful track, I can't help but listen to it on repeat. Gemma
